Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind koha community event - registrations close 5pm, 23 August, so make sure you register now!
Hosted by the fabulous Jo Randerson, it stars our talented storyteller residents from around the country: Michèle A’Court, Mark Amery, Claire Baylis, Lily Duval and Ashleigh Young. We'll have five local storytellers stepping up to the mic too.
Come for the stories, stay for the delicious curry lunch, which will be provided to all our guests.

We need you to choose your meal so we can confirm with Curry Town - so please book and make your food choice as soon as possible. Remember: you must book your ticket (and choose your meal) to attend - we have limited seats available.
This is a free event - although koha is welcome and will go towards the cost of the event and running future ones.

EVENT Q&A
What happens on the day?
Doors open at 11:40am for a 12noon prompt start. The event will run until mid-afternoon.
A Books & Co bookstall with our storytellers’ works for sale, is in the foyer. Books are for sale, before, during and after the event.
At the end of the lunch, our storytellers are available to sign your books in the Supper Room (just beyond the bathrooms).
Be ready for a few lovely surprises throughout the lunch!
What do I need to bring?
• We’re aiming for sustainability, so please bring your own cup (for tea & coffee) and a filled water bottle for each person attending.
Can children/tamariki attend?
Yes! However, we’d suggest ages 10+ and they do need to have one of the allocated invitations (per child). While the event is family-friendly, it’s likely to run around 2 - 2.5 hours with tales from 10 storytellers throughout the lunch. You can check out the storytellers below in Who are the storytellers?
There will be paper on the tables that tamariki can draw on during the event (crayons provided).
This is a koha event and there will be a koha box available for those able to do so.

What happens if I fall ill or can’t attend for some reason?
• Please let us know by emailing hello@iowo.org.nz as soon as you’re sure you won’t be able to attend.
• We’re running a waitlist, so early notification means someone else is able to take your place.
• You can let us know right up until the morning of Sunday 13th, but please let us know as soon as you are able.
I have access issues - what do I need to do?
If you’ve indicated accessibilty issues on your registration, just let us know when you arrive at the door and we can assist you. Otherwise, please contact us at hello@iowo.org.nz
